Boker and Wester Bros - Local find
Here are two more local finds from last weekend. We were in the area of a local hunt spot and decided to do a quick walk through. We didn't have anything in the budget for more razors or knives. We should have known better. The Boker Red Injun 102 is 6/8's and the De-Fi is 5/8. The De-Fi had a crack in the scales at the pivot so I replaced the scales with a pair from a razor I picked up for a buck with scales I liked and fit the razor well. Both blades just needed a cleaning and proper honing. Total cost... Ya don't want to know but it couldn't be much since we didn't have funds for razors or knives. Local finds are just GREAT!!

Sweet, nice finds. Those scales look nice on the Wester Bros. Good job.

Wish I had a set of scales like the ones you put on the De-Fi-they are great! Have to say that I just shaved with a Red Injun and it was butter smooth, BBS. Hard to beat a Red Injun, IMO. Now I will have to post a picture of my $15.00 Thuringian or Escher hone that I recently encountered at a Yuma AZ antique store that I stopped by on the way back to Tucson. Didn't have any discretionary money either, like you, but turn it down?....didn't happen! Antique stores rule. Thanks for keeping hope alive with your postings.
