Begginners Buy at the Antique Store
My ex and I visited our local antique mall today. I had told myself I wasn't going to buy anything but my (as I have learned it's called) RAD kicked in. (My other hobby is playing bass and in that circle we call it GAS, which stands for Gear Acquisition Syndrom.)
I'm pretty new at straight razor shaving, and therefore don't know too much about what to look for in a razor or which makes and models are desirable, except for what I've picked up around here and other sites. I am a bit more knowledgable when it comes to safety razors though.
First up is my straight razor purchase, which amounted to $12. I bought it because I am a little familiar with Geo Westenholm, I have seen other uses on this form with them, so I assumed (hopefully correctly) that they can be decent razors. The scales aren't in the greatest shape but I plan on having it restored. The blade looks to be in good shape also, although there is a very tiny chip on the blade's tip, that I don't think is visible in my phone pictures. There is also hardly any rust on it, with only a little bit covering a small portion of the tang. I am hoping someone could shed some light on whether or not I did well with this find.

My other find, I think is really cool. My ex didn't see the beauty in it but I bought it for $6, and think its is a really cool little razor. I'm pretty sure it says Dillon Plastics on the bottom of the razors handle.

So thats it, I'm pretty happy with my purchases. They weren't too expensive and I think they're pretty darn cool.
