    Default Fily Antique Shop find

    Last night I was convinced to travel to Ridgewood NJ and try Turkish food. I am not an adventurous food eater but gave in. After a nice dinner we went for a walk along the shopping district. While walking, I saw a very nice antique store and decided to walk inside and look around. After a quick Look I asked the proprietor if she had any old razors. She pointed to a bucket and told me anything she had was in the bucket. The bucket was small and contained some old brushes and other stuff along with a seemingly old, broken straight razor box with a tag hanging out.
    I picked it up and pulled on the tag to draw out whatever was attached. When the razor came out, I was completely taken back since "Antique Store finds" always happen to someone else. Last night, it was my turn. I pulled from the box a Filarmonica, Doble Temple 13 in pristine condition. I don't know if it is in NOS condition but I don't think it much matters.
    My advice....don't stop looking. They are out there. keep looking!!!

    Did you talk the proprietor down from $85? Or were you just psyched that they were selling it at such a discount to ebay fillys?

    you llucky bugar lol...great find man!!! I wouldn't have tried to go down on the price either...considering what you could get for it if you decided to turn around and sell it lol. Congrats
