My First Custom Brush.

I received my first custom brush in the mail at about noon, today. This is the first time I have ever dropped what I was doing to shave in the middle of the day. The photos are before the first shave; so the bulb is more open now & really beautiful.

The brush is made from Bull Elk antlers, with a brass spacer & the bottom is Amber; which is my favorite.

The brush was made by gssixgun (Glen) at GemStar Customs. Welcome GemStar Customs - Gem Star Customs

Wow that is pretty was it a special order? I did not even see that one up for sale. Enjoy Hirlau I hope to get one, one day myself.

It is Amber on a Brass plate Epoxied to the end of the antler :) This brush was actually a requested build from Hirlau/John he saw the Turquoise one I had and asked if I had a darker section of antler and if I could do Amber instead then we added the Brass to brighten the look...

I tend to always seal the ends of the antler, at the very least with Epoxy but more often with some type of Stone, Acrylic or Micarta,,, The ends of the Antler are porus and if they are not sealed the brush will degrade much faster
