First piece of Swedish steel

Here is the Erik Anton Berg I just recieved from a fellow SRP member. It only arrived today so will shave with it tomorrow but I love how it looks in person, very happy with it.

I've been trying to figure out what 'SNSV' stands for... Finally got it lol. Btw nice razor, big fan of the Swedes myself!

Amazing how some of the simpler looking razors are very attractive.
I like that a lot, congrats on the new acquisition.

That´s a really nice razor! Is it *shave ready*? iv´e had a few and some of them are REALLY hard to get a good shave ready edge to.

I am going to shave with it today but is cutting hairs well above skin level on my arms and I got it from a fellow SRP member so I'm sure it will be good.

Thanks. Yea I've read them all quite recently and can't put them down, and my timing seems to be good as when I finish ADWD the new Raymond Feist books should be out!

Grayman, after hundreds of soligens and US blades, the swedish steel is the only I like better. Can it take some extra work to get the edge right? - sure. But that's true of a lot of outstanding blades. A heavy grind w/ hard steel can be such a joy - ask any owner of one of the Williams SRP blades. Should the edge need attention, Onimaru55 is on the next island over (Aus). That should be a blade you don't tire of. My version (courtesy of the honorable Mikael) is a Dahlgren of similar size and grind. Its one of a few excellent near wedge blades I have - but the only Swede. There will be more in my future.

I'm going to be on the look out for more Swedish wedges or near wedge in the future for sure. Yea Os has my Joseph Rodgers wedge at the moment I can't wait to get it back.
