Lucky Etsy win
Attachment 130872
I've just got back from collecting this from the local postal sorting office. I cursed the seller all the way there and back, as she seemed to have overlooked the import tax, so I had to cough up an extra £12 for it.
It was advertised as a 1970's Gillette "The latest technology VAC4"... whatever that means. The doors open well, with a little squeak mind. The adjuster click stops on every ... er... stop.
Lucky? Well the seller wasn't too clever with the photos, there was only a hint of what the date letter was. In fact, it's date stamp is O3... 1969. :D
Any hints on cleaning the black handle?

I don't know about cleaning the handle but a bit of mineral oil should take care of the squeak. For the handle I'd try something mild, maybe just soap and water and a soft toothbrush. Nice find.

A little dish soap & a toothbrush on the handle.

It's been cleaned up with washing-up liquid (the proper name for 'dish soap' ;) ) and some toothpaste for the plating. I'll give the squeak a seeing-to later on. :)
