Wilkinson & Sword Auto Strop Razor

I found this in an antique store a while back but never bought it. Every time I go into this store, it is always still there looking at me, pleading for me to take it home. I had never really looked at it very closely either until the other day when my resolve finally gave in. I think it is still mint? Looks like the factory oil still on the blade in the razor and the spare blade is still in the sealed oil paper, its the same for the strop as well. The only thing that has not coped with the age is the instructions on the strop which I found in the middle of the rolled up strop, so the oil had affected it.
I really don't know whether I should try and use this one or even if it can be used? The blades should be still sharp if they have not been used and still oiled, correct??
I'm also too scared to take the strop out of the oil paper lol!

I'd love to hear everyone's opinion on this one and possibly any history as well.

Looks like noone replied. I have a very nice example of this I got on the Bay, a 7 day set. It is in good used condition. Haven't cleaned it up to shave with yet.
Not sure of the history, but maybe someone will see this bump and reply...

Clean it up and use it! They are really nice shavers. The blade overhang / comfort is adjusted from the back after you get the head flat by turning the handle till the head does not move. You might wish to send the blades out to be honed. I used one layer of tape. You have the early preferred model with the double hollow ground blades I would guess about 1930s. The later ones used a flat blade with a tube on the back for the purpose. You are fortunate to get instructions with yours!

I have the hollow ground blades. Are there any NOS blades out there? Mine are pitted pretty well.

I also am looking to trade a Monday for a Sunday in my 7 day set.
