While trolling through the bay looking for a bargain razor, I came across this headline, "Old German Straight Razor with Original Case." The headline picture looked pretty good, so I clicked on it and brought up the pictures. What I saw surprised me. It was a CV Heljestrand No. 24 with no visible pitting, nor rust. The edge has no visible bevel and no hone wear on the spine. The temper of the razor is nice and straight. I couldn't help myself for the Buy It Now price of $25.99.

Sometimes you score, this is most likely to happen with items having poor quality pictures and a poor discription. I gambled and recently won such a lightly used Friodur 5/8 for $ 50 on eBay.

Exceptional deals can sometimes be found in the Classifieds, if you are a fast responder.

Usually the Helje 24's are a trimmer size, around 4/8.
