My Hat Is Off To Stimpy52 !!

Since my time on SRP, I've heard new members complain about how difficult it is to find a "Cheap" razor or how they bought sight unseen to keep within their budget.

Here at SRP in our "Classifieds" section, cheap walks hand in hand with "Good". For the last five years, I have watched Stimpy list straight razors in our classified section. The razors are listed at prices that seem unusually low, especially when you look closely at the ads and the services offered with the purchase. I've often said to myself, "Stimpy is taking a loss on his razors. " Then it became clear to me over the years, that Stimpy is not really concerned about the price of his razors. Why,,,well I guess you will have to ask him.

I have never heard a negative word about any of his razors. His razors are a great benefit to both new & senor members looking for a good shaving razor.

Stimpy,,, I hope your source of good old razors never dries up & your unselfish contributions to the members here, brings you fortune in other areas of your life.

I have purchased many great items from the Classifieds, in fact I subscribe to that section, any time a new ad appears, it shows up in my email, there have been some hard to find, great items there. Total value of goods sold to date from the Classifieds are an astounding $2,973,864.75!!:dropjaw:

I don't know if its common among other hobbies/interests or not, this thing we have with our classified section, but I enjoy have a place where I can purchase things that interest me & feel safe about the purchase.

Well said. I too have noticed his razors and his deals. Often when I tell people to keep an eye on the classifieds that deal go through on a regular basis those are the razors I'm talking about.

I've noticed the same, and once I'm ready to dive in I hope he's got something available lol

I concur, I've gotten 2-3 fine razors from him and they're great!

Gee. I need a STIMPY razor too! What I value most is his posts. When he posts, it will always be a Gem!

I send new folks to the classifieds all the time, since I started "new razor" and have become a vintage convert. Usually, they ask how they will know it's "OK", to which I say, if it's there, it's OK. Not sure how many listen?!?

I have seen Stimpy put up some really fantastic razors that should have brought him quite a bit more than he asks.

Don't hate me, but I have tried to convince him of the error of his ways!

I understand what you are saying ,,, but I posted in a manner to recognize Stimpy, a little thanks,,, this thread is not intended compare him to anyone else & how they list their items,,,,,, I can't say that I have seen any member exaggerate the value of their listing. Most all items listed seem to sell. :shrug:

Great prices, been tempted many a time. The one on the classifieds right now looks like the ideal starter for a new member.

What you don't know is Stimpy is a second story man. He robs from the rich and can afford to sell his loot at a discount and still make a tidy sum.

Kind of like Robin Hood.

'Stimpy52' is where I initially picked up a few razors that helped me acquire a permanent case of RAD and fuel my budding HAD... He simply sets the bar for stand-up deals and great communication on top of great Razors and Gear!!

Not sure what my Wife's problem is... She acid-etched "Just say NO to Stimpy52!!" in my bathroom mirror!!?? :)

This is surely better than acid etching it into your face backwards so that you can read it in the mirror ;)

Great thread Hirlau, Got my first New York razor from Stimpy, affordable, good condition, and shave ready! Cool person to deal with as well.
