Hey All,
I have added a donation button next to the BST button at the top of the screen in the navigation bar.
It will take you to the designated donation page for Straight Razor Place.
The funds donated will be used to pay for server upkeep. Our goal is to use these donations, together with the income from the banners, and pretty soon the classifieds and vendor programs, to pay for the server hosting and assorted costs.
And it works too! :beer1:

I think I used it about 5 minutes after Bruno started the thread and will in future make regular donations.
What was more interesting to me though was that I could now use PayPal.me which had previously been unavailable for someone living in the South Africa.
Worked perfectly for me as well!! :D
This past few weeks of gentlemanly communication followed by admin-review and finally action has been some of the coolest, most polite and yet direct/driven discussion I have seen in a bit.

Just sent in some $. I had to really look hard to see the new button. Here are a couple of examples of forums that use the donate option and place it on the 'new posts' forum page, if not all pages .......... Note Cast Boolits has the text in red, and The Puritan Board is quite visible with 'Support The Puritan Board. The posted amount is not usual, it is a special promotion and is the total so far by all contributors.
IMHO the SRP button is obscure, and limiting it to the BST is going to be missed completely by many.
If you guys would just let me run things everything would work like a Swiss watch ......... :rolleyes:

Personally, I think discreet is very good. Only those who want to donate actually do so. Members and guests who do not wish to donate will not be irritated by what would look like solicitation.Quote:

What if the members who donate receive some sort of accolade like the Movember type ones under their username?
That would be pretty neat.
I personally don't like accolades like the Movember ones.
I turned down the mentor because of the label that would be put on me.
I am no better than anyone else here.
And I don't belong to paypal.
Maybe I can send down a little with Randy to Texas to pass on to Bruno.
