I've been trying to reply to a certain thread and have been getting a message saying that I am forbidden to post a new reply on this server.
Who forbid me?
I have my suspicions on who it was...
Is this just a me issue or is anyone else having this problem?

Don't jump to conclusions. I just checked what I could and I don't see anything to indicate any removal of permissions for your account. Witnessed by your being able to post this thread. I suspect it is a glitch. Not unheard of in recent months on this forum.Quote:

This is a long-time issue with vBulletin. Specifically, vBulletin seems to "time out" after a certain period when one is logged-in -- it only happens during a longer session, when I might be logged-in and reading a lot of posts, and when/if I choose to reply to one, WHAM! I get the "forbidden to post" message. My solution is, when I log-in, to check the "Remember Me?" box (it's counter-intuitive -- at least, to me -- I thought it referred to having my browser record the username/password pair for the site; instead, it seems to over-ride the built-in/default time-out setting). See Tom, that's why the aliens have been able to read your thoughts, uninsulated, unaltered protection with the foil turned the wrong way. You were practically creating a satellite dish for them. You may as well have just written it all down and emailed it to aliens, and the NSA, and the Ruskies too. Of course you would only have to email one of them and everyone would have it.
I can't be sure, and I won't mention any names, but I figure that an admin pro honer, wearing his tin hat with receiver, may have read the OP's post before he entered it. Seeing that it was the perfect never fail method to get a razor shave ready he intercepted the post and blocked it. I may be wrong, I was wrong once before .......... :beer2:
