Im not gone, but my nerves are. Down in NYC at the moment, looking after my mom, who doesn't remember we just had breakfast earlier. So, yea, Im a little frazzled

Family first. Times are hectic for everyone, and I cant imagine how tough it must be dealing with everything and a parent with cognitive issues.

Been there. Here’s a hot tip, make sure she drinks a lot of water.

An ER doc gave us that tip when my father had an episode and was running around in his underwear and babbling. They put an IV in him and he was transformed in minutes.

So, when he could not remember how to turn on the TV remote control, we would watch him drink a bottle of water and minutes later he could carry on a conversation and relate old memories, or Walker Texas Ranger plots.

Drink lot of water, a good tip for all of us.
