I've seen others able to bury a link within a word. Like "click HERE"
How do you do that rather than just pasting the entire URL in a post which looks messy?
Thanks.

I've been wondering this myself.
It goes like this: (URL=http://straightrazorpalace.com)WORDS YOU WANT HERE (/URL) replacing the ( and ) with the usual [ and ] as if I had used those, you would not have seen my fancy typing. :D Again, here's the same thing with the squared brackets:

After you click the Insert Link button, it pops up with the bracketed URL, and ends with a bracketed /URL. The text between those two sets of brackets is what displays. So I'll try to do one without brackets (so it shows up) that links back to this thread.
URL="http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?p=171786#post171786"http://straightrazorpalace.com/showt...786#post171786/URL
The bolded and underlined text is what shows up. So to change it to a "click here" sort of thing, type the word Click, then insert the link and replace the above underlined URL text with Here and it should look like:
Click URL="http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?p=171786#post171786"Here/URL
And your final product is...
Click Here
But I have problems making some things clear. lol
I'm sure someone else can explain it better.

Wow, I'm even lazier than that. what i do is type my message and then highlight the words i want as a link dubl duck on the bay then click the insert link button and paste the link in, naturally i have copied the link and usually have it open in another window... saves typing the HTML

Can't seem to do it.
Mark,
Edit your post so it goes from this:
URL="http://http//www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/showthread.php?p=171837#post171837"]http://http://straightrazorpalace.com/showthread.php?p=171837#post171837
to this:
URL="http//www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/showthread.php?p=171837#post171837"]CLICK ME!!
(and whack the original "[" back in place - I removed it so the code would show up.)
James.
Since I'm some what challenged when it comes to forums and fancy typing I'm using this post for testing.
Barbershop
1. Copy your link.
2. Click the "Insert Link" button (the one with the globe on it).
3. Paste the link and click OK. The link will appear in your post.
4. Highlight the link.
5. Type the words you want in place of the link.

That will work. I find it a little easier to:
1. Type the words you want, like CLICK HERE.
2. Highlight those words.
3. Click on the "Insert Link" button.
4. Type in or paste in your URL. Be careful you aren't left with two copies of "http://"
5. PREVIEW your post and make sure the link looks right and works before posting it.
