The home of Spybot-S&D! <-- Spybot Search and Destroy. It's a pretty decent program for removing most of the spyware on your machine.
Ad-Aware 2008 - Reviews and free Ad-Aware 2008 downloads at Download.com <-- Ad Aware. It can be a bit slow on older hardware but I run at least 2 spyware removal programs on my windoze boxes.

I run Mozilla with a program called No Script that pretty much takes care of all of that unwanted stuff.
