Logging in changes the effectiveness of the Search link?

Why? :(

If I am not logged in and I click on the link to Search from the main SRP webpage, I am immediately taken to a page where I can search the forums.

However, if I simply log in and then click the link to Search from the main SRP webpage, the search function (which is a dropdown menu rather than a straight link to the advanced search I get when I am not logged in) will not respond to my search requests and I will simply stay on the main page.

It's a minor annoyance to me, as I discovered some time ago that if I log in and want to search the forums, I must first click on the Forums link before I can actually use the search function. The last time I checked, this is also a problem from the Classifieds pages.

I could have sworn I mentioned this already in a suggestions thread, but I don't find it now. Da Bomb, if you find the time to take a look at it, I will be even more grateful for your hard work on the forum than I already am :)
