Update to sig line policy. Please read

Hi guys, I added the following to the sig line policy (see site rules sticky)

EDIT 23FEB2009: Shaving advertisement is only allowed for your own business or activity. Advertising for other members is not allowed.

The reason we are doing this is that some members are starting to put advertisement in their sig lines for other members. This has a couple of problems that we want to prevent.

- it gets to be a popularity contest
- if many members start doing this, it will fill up lots of reading space with advertisement.

The main focus of SRP is the collecting and sharing of knowledge, not marketing or sales, so we want to keep that low profile. So if you want to advertise your services, that is fine, but do not put advertisement for other people's services / site in your sigline.
