The flaws of the rep system were certainly not killing as much fun as this thread does.

There was a negative rep button. I got 1 that I know of. All I did was suggest that the guy who tattooed the stars on the girl's face should have his fingers broken. :shrug: ... one by one. :)

Yeah and I got one cause someone thought I had neg repped him earlier (which I didn't).
So what? Has cost me three thanks and life went on.
Thats not a flaw thats what you have to take when there is such a system installed.
Same with a huge load of reps that come up when the system is in discussion.

I was referring to a -1 button that would act as the +1 button Philadelph was talking about. I was under the assumption that that +1 would go at the bottom of posts (like the thanks).

I was just joking around because I think it's almost unbelievable that this thread is still being debated. I did like the +1 button idea though lol.

VB does have what's known as a "groan" button, just like the thanks.

I dig the +1 idea, too.

As far as the green dits/ mentor system goes, I was/am fine either way.

There has always been a system in place, however. If you look at the user stats - BAM! - there's your system.

I spend too much time just reading the forum. Can't even imagine how much time the mods spend regulating/administering etc. Big thanks to all those involved.
