    Default New Forum?

Any thoughts about a forum dedicated to product reviews? Seems like quite a few reviews popping up in various forums could be centralized. Shave creams, soaps, aftershaves, brushes, lotions, pre-shave, post-shave. Dr. Phong's test tube could be published here instead of, or in addition to, the blog he does.

Sounds good to me. I think that if people use ethical guidelines for reviews that it is a helpful service for all of us. I say YES.

I would say this is a good idea as long as there is some quantitative analysis. I would like to see the group put out a definitive score for each product, much like consumer reports does. The results need to be displayed in a usefull manner.

Maybe we can use the "rate thread" button to score 0-5 stars on the product being reviewed. People can know the score at a glance.

That's a great idea! I like the "rate" buttons. I've seen product reviews on other websites and it can get quite messy. You run the risk of getting as many differing opinions/reviews as there are posters. Not only that, "open" opinions/reviews often beg for conflicting rebuttals when someone doesn't necessarily agree. The rate buttons will make the moderator's job(s) much easier.

I'll look forward to the new forum as I'm a newcomer to the art.
