Where do I find info explaining how you progress as a member here and when should I venture off the beginner section and post normally ? I feel real dumb asking this....:confused: I Love this site to the end,but it's like navigating through a huge world of warcraft or somthing sometimes...did that make sense ?? Thanks for yer patience.
It's a (mostly) free world. I say post where you think you might have something to say.

You move from Junior Member to Member after 30 posts, and from Member to Senior Member after 100 posts. Things like becoming a Mentor or Mod is done more on an invitation/volunteer basis, and the site staff contact people about that individually.
Theres no real reference area on how you progress as a member, you just develop at your own pace and get involved where (and as much as) you like! :)
In terms of where to post, I agree fully with Mick; Post where you think your question will get the best coverage and is the most on topic.
If you have a honing question, post it in the Honing forum, a stropping question, post it in the Stropping forum. Theres no time limit where you have to post in the beginners forum before you can post elsewhere.
The beginners forum is kind of a place for new guys to say hi, and ask the usual first questions like which razor to get, where to find information on the site, which vendors to use and so on.
Once you've got that sort of thing covered, post in the relevant forum. If you go to the forums index (via the Forums button at the top of the page) you'll see information on what is covered in each forum. Just post in the one that you think is the best fit for your question..!
If you're not sure, you can always PM a Mod to ask where to post, and if you would like your thread moved to a different forum we can do that for you very easily.
So just dig in, look around and enjoy! :)

Every question has merit, and you are welcome to ask away. Your posts are just as important as those of anyone else at Straight Razor Place, newcomer or a pro. Consider the subject of your post — straight razors, double edge, brushes, and so on — and you can figure out the right place to post. If you are not sure, ask a Moderator, as suggested.
