Please keep in mind
1. we are in different time zones across the world
2. we are all not online all the time
3. we are all just volunteers here
I will be online for the next 7 hours while I sit here at work so if you want to pm me now would be a good time :)
Another thing you can do is PM to more than one mod/admin. If one doesn't see it another one will.
I've been here for years and I still don't always get a response... I wouldn't take it personally, Glen's right. There's only so much time in the day for volunteers all over the world. If it's important, I'm sure whatever the issue is will be resolved. :)
What Glen said.
Running this site takes a lot of volunteer time. I spend more than an hour per day online here, just taking care of various things and communicating with mods and members. That is an hour every day, just volunteer work. Nothing related to actual razors. Many of the mods also have busy lives, and may not be around every day.
So don't think that anyone is conciously ignoring you. It sometimes takes a couple of days to reply to messages even from friends. This it not an indication of disrespect, it just means I haven't had the time yet to sit down and write a proper reply.
That said, I am online every day and usually reply within the day. If you haven't contacted Glen or someone else, drop me a PM.
Actually, the indications on the admin side of the site are that you have not send such PMs. It's not 100% though, but most likely the error is on your end.
Don't forget some mods are available in chat, too. In the event a PM, email or chat to a mod has failed a thread like this will always catch our attention. You can even flag it and that will notify ALL mods. :)
Also any of the Mentors would, I am sure, be more than happy to pass on any message you have for a moderator or admin or dev, or at least alert them to the fact you are wanting to talk to them.
James.
No doubt, and if you have doubts about whom to contact for what (e.g. whom to contact for a vendor application) the mentors will be able to point you in the right direction.
But ordinarily, any moderator / admin will get back to you quickly. If they don't it means they're busy doing something else and have not had the time to pay attention to new messages.
They are all drunk...
Thanks for the answers, I just post my request here. I wish to delete this account but there is no option. I sent several messages to the "Contact Us" address already (at the bottom of the page). Thx for whoever picks this up :)

I'm still waiting for my espresso :needcoffee:
I didn't get anything, so it was not a PM you sent.
The 'contact admin' emails go to Dave. Dave is up to his eyeballs in work.
This is pure speculation on my part, but I can imagine that an email from a non-participating member, to inform him that he no longer wants to participate, is not going to rank high on the priorities list.
It's not like we can delete an account. Well, we could, but we do not want to have posts that are not linked to an account. That is bad database management. And we could put an account in a special group that can no longer posts. But since he left voluntarily, he could come back and we'd have to re-open the account. Which is all work for us. And all for a user who is not interested in participating.
@ participation, I am more a reader than a writer
But I wanted to create a new account , or is it possible to simply change my nickname (as I no longer like it) ? :) Thx
:hmmm: "MacAhRonny" ??
so guys i dont always have time between school and other stuff to post on srp alot but i at least pop in 5 times a week to read and post so am a a perticipator or am i just another member takign the class away from this classy place. lol
You have 600 something posts. Hardly a lurker.
Otoh, this thread was started by someone with 10 posts, 2 or 3 of which were in this thread, complaining that the administrator was not replying to his request to close his account. With half a dozen of posts and saying you want to leave, I can hardly call that 'participating'
In my opinion, that is different.
A request for an account name change would have been received differently for obvious reasons. Closing an account is like saying that you want to go, and want us to make an effort to make sure you don't come back. Changing an account name means that you still want to be here but there is a reason to change the account name.
In the former case, we don't care.
In the latter case, we are always prepared to listen and help you out.
I would think that this makes sense.
Ronny has spent a ton o time in the chat room regardless of the amount of posts he has.
