Trying to figure out
how this works
Or of it does
It seems to be working Jimmy
works just like this
Yeah well is it doing anything I couldn't do with just my phone ? I thought it would "say" posted with tapatalk at the bottom ? I got the same touch keyboard I always get with my razr. Anyway, typing this on my laptop at work. I'll mess with the device (they don't call them phones anymore) in a while.
Y'know, I never posted on SRP with the phone until after I downloaded the app. My question is, if I didn't have the app would I be able to post on a forum with the phone sans app ?
I use tapatalk. And, yes, it is much easier. At least, that's my story after spending $3 for an app. :D

In all seriousness, tapatalk really is beneficial if you peruse multiple forums. It keeps them all readily available in one location, and keeps you logged into the site. Although, I have come across a couple of forums that don't use tapatalk. Most seem to.

Well what it is doing .... is asking me, the tapatalk screen, to login. When I type in my SRP screen name and password I get a popup that tells me my screen name or password is incorrect. Then it goes to the browser and I'm logged it. Typing this on my laptop for this post. If tapatalk is 'working' would it be showing that it came from the droid with tapatalk as in the post richkey made above ?
If it isn't working I'm not that worried about the $3.00 but I wouldn't have even bothered with it if I had known, assuming it is working, that it seems identical to sending an email or a text with my device.
Last I heard, SRP was developing its own app. I'm going to hold out for that
I figured out the 'sent from tapatalk'. I had to enable that in settings. My wonderful razr won't stay connected to the internet for five consecutive minutes. A real PITA. I'm going back to the verizon store tomorrow and see about a replacement. I think I've got a lemon.
Testing once again
Still working Jimmy :)
Not with tapatalk it isn't. Add to that my droid razr won't stay online for 5 consecutive minutes. POS.
Finally found the hidden slider to post. Now if l could find how to.get to search...
For other forums on t talk is what i mean

no, i bought the app on amazon and it doesn't look like that at all. phone A.K.A POS is charging now so I can't fool with it for awhile
I thought you bough it from the android marketplace. For amazon purchases, you need to install their app.
DQuote:
ownload the Amazon Appstore app immediately by clicking https://www.amazon.com/app-email from your Android device, or follow the click-by-click guide below.
Click-by-Click Guide
You need to do this only once for each device. The clicks below should take less than 30 seconds.
Click 1
Open your device Settings and click "Applications".
Click 2
If unchecked, click "Unknown sources". If "Unknown sources" is already checked, skip to Click 4.
Note: AT&T Wireless does not support the Amazon Appstore for Android. See Help for more details.
Click 3
Click "OK" on the "Attention" dialog. "Unknown sources" will now have a green check.
Click 4
Open your notifications and click the e-mail message from Amazon Appstore.
Click 5
Click the link: https://www.amazon.com/app-email. The Amazon Appstore app will download to your device.
Click 6
Open your notifications and click "Amazon_Appstore.apk".
Click 7
Click "Install".
Click 8
Click "Open".
That's it!
Sign in with your Amazon.com account and start enjoying thousands of apps for Android.
You need to do this only once for each device.
I don't understand - why go through amazon when you can access the android market directly? Is this some US thing?
James.
I wouldn't necessarily listen too much to me Jimmy - I refuse to pay for apps on Android so I am probably missing something important.
James.
Could be ye olde amazone making life fun. Just go to the android marketplace from your computer and tell it to install.
I went to android market and it is the same gizmo. I guess it is me and not it. It takes me a little while to get the hang of some of this techno stuff. TBH, I don't see myself using the razr for forums with or without tapatalk. It is too much of a PITA to navigate compared to my laptop or tower at home. Good to have in case of an emergency but with my clumsy fingers ..... thumbs it ain't happenin'.
Jimmy, take a look at other kinds of keyboards - I use Swype, which once you get used to it is very useful for the clumsy of finger, since you swipe the keyboard rather than tap each letter (ie, you let your finger glide over the letters and it figures out for you what words you mean!)
James.
Thanks James, this device has that capability but I don't like the idea of the device second guessing what it thinks I want to say. I have enough trouble figuring that out with my "little gray cells." :p
Well I've about got it figured out and it only took me 12 hours. ;-)

now take off that signature before you get banned
Personally I don't bother with tapatalk, it may be good it may not be, but I ain't paying for it myself and I much prefer the regular computer for typing anything of any length. I have and do access SRP via my 'phone when I'm out bush and having a break from farm duties, but only just to have a quick looky see and maybe answer a post briefly.
Apart from that, I have a general hate for my 'phone. It seems to like the power socket...It's addicted to the power socket, and that is normal for these 'phones today that have screens the size of older household TV's, so I've been led to believe...
