Hi guys;
I have only been wet shaving for a bit longer than 2 years and i currently use Razorock classic soap/cream and i really like it... Here is my issue... My job has brought me to Albuquerque, NM and if you dont know it is extremely dry here! So i am looking for a cream or soap that lathers like the razorock but it wont dry in my face... I currently lather one side of my face at the time... Its fine but time consuming ...

Maybe it's your lather? I use the same stuff and have no problem making a full pass before it dries. I'm in Eastern Canada and in the winter I'd expect we're as dry as you are there, just a lot colder. :) I've been wet shaving a bit less than 2 years. If you want a suggestion, I've had good success with Geo F. Trumper and DR Harris creams as well as Tabac and MWF soaps.
Thanks... I will ck those out...! When i was in NC, FL or OH i had no problems at all... And i am the type of guy that finds a product and stays with it... It could be my lather but NM is prob the driest state of the US... When i moved here within 2 days i needed a humidifier because of nose bleeds! Especially in the summer... 100+ degrees 10 per or less humidity!

I just got back from Florida and had no issues with Tabac, but have to remember I was in an air-conditioned hotel room while shaving. Here at home, we have wood heat so in winter, it's very dry (my nose bleeds and my knuckles crack and bleed kinda dry).
I got to give props to cella, it never dries my face out. use a bit extra water, keep the lather a bit thinner than with razo rock, and a good glycerin containing splash or balm with almond or cocconut she butter or jojoba oil and you're good. my face is dry in winter because of the wind where I live, and gas heat dries it to the point of flaking, but that combo has served me very well.
oh some balms I recommend... pre de provance,sul fil de razo by proraso, and d r Harris, lotions/splash... anything by w.m. nuemanns great stuff, proraso and ogallala lime and peppercorns and razo rock baby blue
Thanks... for great suggestions but the lather is what is drying on my face :) ... Not my face drying up... Lol... You see by the time i get to my left side of my face the lather is dried up.... So i need a product that is super wet i guess or slimy feeling and that would hive me a normal lather here... I literally live in the desert... When it rains here... 5 mins later the roads are dry... I hang my clothes to dry and 30 mins later they are dry and that is inside the house...
