where do I buy MDC?
Straight from Martin de Candre (France. Google should translate the page for you, but there's an "En"(glish) button at the top of the page if you need it. Shipping is $25 so some folks order 2 or 3 items to fill up the package.)
Or, you could call Old Town Shaving (626.823.4024) in Los Angeles. They don't have a website, but a lot of guys on the shave forums have posted about being very happy ordering from them (or buying in their LA store)... and I believe they carry MdC.
I got mine here Martin de Candre lavender-mint shaving soap - French gifts--Fragrance, soap, skin care - L'Atelier Vert - - Everything French Gardening®
Don't get sticker shock when you see the price of the soap and especially the price for shipping.
You might not think its worth it, but trust me when I say it is worth every penny.
If you're in the US this would be the most convenient. Home. This is the same site you'll see in other threads with the link of "page 1". The only difference is which page of his site you copy the link from. Currently MdC is on the Home page.
I've bought from Jason a number of times. Always quick shipping and never a problem and he uses PayPal....a plus in my book!

I agree! I have enjoyed collecting different creams almost (if not more) as much as the blades themselves.
I will say this though, I found that having too many open and being used at any one given time, allowed the fragrance to dissipate as time went on. Some more dramatically than others. I am working my collection down now as I might have uh... gone a little overboard lol. But there is nothing like having a nice collection from which to choose.
I started long term preservation of my soaps and creams, that won't seal airtight, by vacuum packing them in sealable vacuum bags using a food saver system bought from Walmart.
The day before yesterday I opened a partially used Czech & Speake that I vacuum packed 6 or 7 months ago and it was still in perfect condition.

Howard :)
I keep my non-airtight soaps in screw-top plastic jars, much like many guys do with Pyrex. I also keep 100% of my tallow soaps (about 15 of them) in the refrigerator. Now this is going to sound absolutely insane, but I am actually thinking about buying a small dorm room style refrigerator for the shave den to free up room in the one in the kitchen! I know, ridiculous, right?
Insane??? "Buying a small dorm room".......I hadn't got to "style refrigerator" yet!! :roflmao
We're SAD!!!! Appropriate disorder.
