Has anyone tried or have any Art of Shaving soap? Specifically the Ocean Kelp? I love the smell but was wanting to see what others thought of the soap before I think of getting some...
I have had the AOS lavender cream and really enjoyed it, but haven't used the kelp. I'm interested in others thoughts on it as I received a gift card for Christmas and am considering purchasing a tub. If it's anything like the lavender it should be a really good cream.
The ocean kelp only comes in a cream or at least that's what an employee told me. Their creams work pretty good IMO.
My wife got me a gift certificate for a Royal Shave at AOS. It was fantastic, and that's where I used the Ocean Kelp for it. I love it but their prices are steep and so far I use soaps...not really used creams before except for Musgo Real Lime Basil...which turns out to be my favorite!
The price on their creams seems a little high, but for the amount required for each shave, in my opinion, it works out to be much more economical. My tub of lavender seemed like it would never end!
If there is a salmon-scented ASB and a wasabi-scented EDT, then mark me down for TSA-approved 1.7oz containers of all three!
I just bought my second tub of Ocean Kelp. I really like it. I purchased it on a whim last year at one of their stores in a mall. When I ran out I was combing through email coupons etc, and at the end of the day purchasing through my amazon prime account was a few dollars cheaper. I like the lather it produces, and the scent.
I have a sample tube of the AOS cream. It makes lather like crazy however I don't like it. It all seems too artificial to me.
It's a good cream. I like the ocean kelp scent, and I find it rinses clean leaving your skin refreshed. Like TBS said it is a little artificial, but not bad- not the best either - bit not bad at all.
