I don't remember but I think there was snow on the ground when I got it, so maybe a year, give or take but I like to load my brush with more soap than I need so maybe I used it up faster than most people would.

I have the wood tub and I have it around a year and a half and rotate with 9 other soaps and I'm about 1/3 of the way down.
I received a sample of the Martin de Candre Fougre scent from Ed last week and it's really nice. I generally prefer creams (Tabac, Musgo Real, Irisch Moos, Body Shop Macca Root and the like) over soaps as I find them easier to lather. I haven't used a LOT of soaps, generally Mike's Natural, Proraso, Mme Scodioli, Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn, but this is much better than all of them.
The scent is really nice (subtle, slightly minty, a little talcum powder-ish) but it's main strength is the ease with which it lathers, the resulting creamy lather (like Tabac cream) and how little soap you need to load on to your brush.
I find if I put a tiny bit of hot water on top of the puck in the container it's in while I shower and then pour that off before loading the brush I need to use very little water. You don't need to bowl lather this at all, it makes an excellent lather via face lathering.
I note it's $63 on a site posted above, and that's quite expensive. However, given how long i think this would last for, and it's quality, i do feel it would be well worth that cost.
Also I wonder how do you finish the jar of MDC! Congratulations to those who managed it! Friends that expect will not be disappointed by this amazing soap. I have the version fougere and also I could stay a whole day to describe his greatness. In my small experience of wet shaving I have not yet met a soap so 'good. The scent is great, the foam exceptional, post shaving unrivaled. The price also! but but 'never ends the jar! (Almost)!
I'm on my third jar, just opened it last week. Sounds like it might be some kind of record! :)
Definitely a great cream, but their other stuff is great also. My last order from them included all these bath soaps, bubble baths, linen, and old school laundry soaps.

You who have also tried the soap for the body, what you think?
Thanks
They are very good. They were mainly for my wife, a bribe of sorts for spending the money on the shave cream. :)
But from what I remember they were the kind of quality that you'd expect based on the shave cream.

Good idea! When be ordering 'the next jar I'll make' send soaps to give to my wife. I hope so 'that it does not complain more' for my closet full! Thanks to the brilliant suggestion!
wives are a problem for lovers of this activity '!
Yes, it definitely worked with my wife. She particularly liked the bain mousse - lavender in particular, but also the green one (which I think from memory was geranium??). But everyone can enjoy the other stuff too. :)
