Anyone interested in a passaround?

I was a part of a cigar discussion board for several years, and one of my favorite things we'd do is mail a few of our favorites around so members could try them. I was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in doing the same thing with some of their favorite soaps?

There are so many I'm interested in trying, but it's tough to decide when you're rarely able to smell them first.

We could do this one of two ways:

1. Get a list together of guys who want in. We set a price limit (either $15 or $30 so you could send one or two pucks maybe). First person on the list sends two of their favorites to the second person, and on it goes until the last person sends their favorites to the first person. Everyone gets a surprise.

2. We start with box containing a set number of pucks. When the box gets to you, you get a couple of days to decide which puck you want. After deciding, you replace it with a puck of equal value that you like a lot (preferably one that's not already in the box) and ship it to the next guy. This way you have a whole selection to sniff and read reviews about.

Thoughts? Anyone interested? Has it been done to death on here? I searched through the forums and couldn't find any threads mentioning it being done.

Thank God there aren't any Oral-B forums that I know of. Toothbrushes would be disgusting. Of course, the idea here is new soaps. Not what's discarded from the rotation.

New soaps would work.

No. I feel like pixelfixed does. If someone sent me a puck of shave soap or a bar of Zest or Irish Spring that was opened, it would go straight in the trash.

Hooray! Finally! Funny that it didn't seem like anyone on here liked the idea, but I guess it just takes some time. Yesterday I was looking at another forum and they're doing the same thing... it's been such a hit for them they capped the number of people and have a wait list for the next round.

Let's see if we get another few people this week. I'd love to start with 8-10. Then I'll ask for people to pm me their mailing address and we'll set the order and try some new soaps!

Feel free to change it or just pretend it's titled whatever you'd like! I get to work with title-changing editors in my day job, so I understand the editor's plight. I know how frustrating it must have been to read a title that was "out there" for you. Thanks for the thoughts!
