Lavender -- I really like this crap!

After going through several manly soaps and receiving counseling for some deep-seated issues (plus women don't actually like the smell of buffalo or grizzly bear), I decided to try some of Mama Bears Lavender soap ----man I like this crap ---I can fill my kiwis shrinking --but I like this stuff. Very fresh and clean --not floral --almost minty but not really --a touch of the musky. So if ya have any recommendations for soaps like this then give them to me. I got the lime too --I really like it ---as summer approaches and it gets in the upper 90's , I'll really like these soaps.

Josh -- crows not so bad with the right seasoning -- a little south Louisiana flavoring and you're good to go ---- but take it easy on me fellas -- I only know what I know ---I guess I need to start trying on bikinis for the summer :( ---don't need my boys anymore ----but I do like the lavender.

The scents gone by time you make it to the front door, and it's really nice stuff!

Hi Justine :D

What's the matter with them Loosiana women?? A real woman would love the smell of grizly bear and buffalo. ;)

If you're serious about the lavender soaps...Colleen makes a mean lavender and oatmeal bath soap (I think you asked me if that was breakfast once).

Oh, and when you put on those bikinis, be careful using the straight on the bikini area. We wouldn't want you getting hurt.

Colleens lavender is great, and you might want to think about a "smaller blade for that bikini line, and watch out for the crawfish, they can pinch.

Then, I highly recommend her lavender bath soap and shaving cream and shaving soap. Anything she does with lavender is incredible and I think she has 2 varieties: provence and officialis(?). Ask her about the difference or try both.

I haven't tried Mama Bear's so I don't know how Colleen's will compare to it.

Now, for the most part, I haven't been real impressed with Classic-Shaving's shaving soaps...

...but they have a Citrus-Spice that is REAL intoxicating....

.....shut your eyes....imagine you're shaving in an oceanfront orange and lemon and grapefruit orchard, with a gin and tonic at hand.....waves sh-o-o-o-o-shing in the background....yeah....it's kinda like that....

I'd say her stuff is quite awesome. I'm digging the EO soaps ---got the lime, lavender, and Rosemary and Mint . I like the honeybee spa soaps too --but I'm on an essential oil kick right now.

Lou, being from Louisiana I'm going to have to transport myself to another coastal state to imagine this ----- unless I want to add touches of pollution, stinking mud, and dead crabs ----but yes I'm getting the picture --but I'll add a babe to the other hand ----yes I'm there ---I can even hear the waves shooosh shooosh shoooshing --- crap my toilet's overflowing!!!!!!

also her lime margarita... if you need help with the scent.. just ask for one at your local bar.

Dang, I'll be sleepless for a week! :eek: . I like the provinical Lavender and have heard good things about Nancyboy (I figure since we are getting away from "I wanna manly scent"...:roflmao )

Nancy Boy is great cream, and the name fits your new wardrobe style. However, I find the rosemary and mint outweight the lavender. Great scent, the signature scent.

Taylor's soap has a very pleasant lavender scent, but a good third of the time I struggle to get a good lather out of it. I don't know that others have this problem.

At SMF or B&B, D.R. Harris lavender is said to be great. I only have the almond, which really smells like unadulterated raw almond, and the lather is great, but haven't tried the lavender.

I'd recommend Lothantique Lavender EDT for after the shave. Been using it exclusively for a couple of years and love it. Very natural scent. Probably not easy to find, but my wife got it at a men's cosmetics store in Coral Gables, FL. I haven't otherwise gotten into the whole cologne/EDT obsession thing, other than this week trying and loving the L'Occitane Vetyver, which I may pick up as a second EDT. Not lavender but frankly not too far in that slightly herbal, earthy smell.

I use L'occitane shaving soap which has a slight scent of juniper and usualy use 'Opium for men' eau de cologne by Yves saintLaurent , but today I have just bought the 'Opium for men' after shave balm and mosturiser.

It has a very subtle scent, so it isn't overpowering and feels good on the skin - a pleasant end to a good ( or bad ) shave.
