Karlo,
It is a big tub, 250mg, and should last several months. All you need is the amount the size of a small almond.

Thanks! That's reasonably cost effective.
Which country manufactures Xpec ?
Having just started, I have not experienced many different products yet. However, I have in my daily rotation a few that are working:
AOS Unscented/Lemon cream
Blades Grimm Luxury Soap
Shaveworks Souffle Cream
I have also tried the Van Der Hagen soap that came with their starter kit. I just could not get it past the dry and thick stage, unless I added some cream. But even then it was not satisfying. I have several sample pucks coming from Stirling in the next week, and I hope my lathering skills are enough to make them pleasurable. Thanks Obie for sharing your experience! I have several new items to consider in the coming months, thanks to all the great members.
So ........... nobody mentioned Williams ? .............. :rofl2:
Newbie to this forum.
Here are my current fav 7, in no order.
L.A.S.S.C
Wickham's Super Smooth
CRSW Select
MdC
Acqua di Parma
Antica Barbieria Colla Almond Oil Cream
Stone Cottage Creams
For me, it's fairly easy. Coming up with seven was the more difficult part. In no particular order:
1) Barrister and Mann tallows
2) CRSW Select soaps
3) MdC (either fragrance)
4) LPL (huge fan of the vetiver bourbon)
From there, things degrade rapidly, but a couple creams would probably make a top seven list. Simpson's, Pen's or C&E or something. I honestly don't have a seven wonders list. I just can't come up with 3 more which are at the same level as my top 4.
Thank you for the insight. I recently started with MWF and I love it. However, I also enjoy CF Lavender and TF Almond cream. I will have to try MDC based on your list and the many people who concur with your assessment.
Are there any US suppliers of Martin de Candre or is it a direct online buy?
McD
XPEC
B&M
Mikes
Mitchells
Mystic Waters
Stirling
Sorry Obie, I will delete the Phonenix :)
You guys keep up this expec stuff and I am going to break my resolution of no new soaps or creams or brushes this year. I am already looking at Simpson Polos in super badger.
This list has learnt me soaps just ain't soaps.
I was using Proraso Red and White daily thinking it was great.
Now, I've schooled.
I now can longer complain about my wife's hair care product collection!
Martin De Candre and La' Toja for me, so far
Hmmm...let's see...Seven Wonders...two of which Obie and I concur upon. For a variety of different reasons, here are the seven I'd select:
MdC Fougere
T&H Ultimate Comfort
RazoRock XXX
Cella Brick
Tabac
Proraso White (yup.)
P160
In fairness I must add that I have not yet tried Xpec...it may well be a usurper.
For my remarkable good taste,yYou may now honor me with your finest meats and cheeses.
I'm with all of you on all of this. I dint need another soap......however....just order Antica Barbeiria Colla and I'm considering MDC because I read that ABC was better than MDC. Kinda sounds like competing news channels. My current soap is MWF so I'll keep you posted on ABC vs MWF. These acronyms are making me thirsty!
I have to say, I love reading your opinions and envisioning perfection, but I have MWF, Cella, several Prorasos, La jolla, Arko, several DR Harris, Tabac, some SRD samples, Olagalla Bay Rum, and a few I can't remember. I get great shaves with almost all of them. Truth is, I just don't need a $60 or $70 soap, but I enjoy reading the reviews.
I'll play!
right now, but will surely change
Tiki bar Landlocked
Cattie's bubbles, Le Piment de la Vie
Tabac
AOS, sandalwood
TOBS shaving shop
Pre de Provance
Musgo real original
only because i think its better than Phonix, Dr Harris, Trumpers, will shave with it on Saturday on my rotation and will decide if it stays :) I agree compared to the others its really low
I'm surprised to see Pre de Provence pop up on HarryWally's list, because it was one of my first and still one of my favorites! Try it guys!
Ok, I took Mystic River off of my seven wonders, as i had the chance to shave this evening before we are going out. I am putting Stirling in the ring :) any thoughts ?
Mystic Water is bath soap masquerading as shave soap, great scents though...
just like the the brush thread you posted Obie , i have to admit that i go to the cheaper end of soaps/creams when shopping and kinda lean to the more earthy smells ... im still in the razor/hone purchase faze !! but after getting a nice Rooney brush in a trade of quality , i quickly discovered why the higher price tags come with such great things and almost think that i maybe missing the same in a soap or cream !! i admit most of the product listed in this thread i never even looked at so i cant tell you if they are expensive or not but right now i find myself with these soaps/creams as being my favorites .. in no specific order
Mama Bear "Fall Leaves "
Mama Bear "Whiskey Cream"
SRD "Opus X
SRD" Vanilla Boubon
Mikes"Barbershop"
Proraso"Red"
Proraso"Blue"
i hope one day to get into the soaps/creams some more but right now i only have a few more to my name other then what is listed so im limited
