My mother buys this face cream that comes in a perfect size plastic container with a nice screw on top.
This controls my desire to get more pucks. When she hands me a container, I look for something to put in it.
It's a 1/4 " deeper and a 1/2" wider than a puck. Rarely does the lather come over the edge.

I always use separate containers for soaps. My main containers are the clear, glass sugar bowls with lids.

I like to breeze thru Goodwill every so often looking for interesting containers to hold my pucks and creams. Always ones that have a lid or cover with them. A labeler is also good to use.

Em's Place (Shaving Brushes, Men's Wet Shaving, Badger and Boar Bristles Brushes, Razors) has some nice metal containers with screw-on lids. They are a bit pricey, but she also carries scratch and dent ones that are considerably cheaper.

Nanny's Silly Soap Company here in the UK has metal containers with lids and her soaps are pretty good as well
