I'm sure there has been a thread like this before but there are new products on the market that are very interesting. Particularly interested in the new DR Harris Sandalwood cream and Simpson's Sandalwood.

I've only tried one, so I can't compare, but I LOVE my AoS Sandalwood soap
Coates, discontinued but still available.
Have not found that scent to be to my taste
TOBS Sandalwood is one of my favorites.
I love AOS. Went through a tub of the cream fairly quickly as it was hard to resist using every day. Now I have some of the soap in the old tallow formula and it is fantastic. I also like the Proraso Sandalwood. I've tried EJ, GFT, St. Charles Shave, Parker, a couple Mama Bear's variations and TOBS and the only one I really don't like is TOBS. St. Charles shave is pretty good(love the aftershave) the others are fine they just don't smell like sandalwood to me. TOBS is nowhere near it IMO, but some love it. I have an SRP sample I haven't tried yet. Lots of great stuff out there to try.
My personal favorite is the AOS. the scent is awesome.
I have AoS cream, old formula and new formula soap. By far my favorite sent of anything I have.
I cant believe no one has said porasso red, I dare you to use up a tub of this stuff
AoS Sandalwood will get best of show. Proraso Red and TOBS Sandalwood are however VERY close contenders.
AoS Sandalwood is my all time favourite, followed by the new D.R. Harris.
Lots of love for AoS. I retried my dreaded Castl Forbes Cedarwood/Sandlewood this morning and while not quite so repulsed as my last couple of attempts I still prefer other scents to Sandalwood. I am going to pop into an AoS to smell the creams next time I hit the mall.
AOS sandalwood will always be in my rotation, as well as the AS balm.
Tell me I'm not the only one who loves Crabtree and Evelynn sandalwood...hot damn that is one of my all time favs
Like others have said the Proraso Red is nice. It has a lingering scent that is just right to me.
Favorite sandlewood cream is Castle Forbes.
My current favorite sandlewood is AoS and I have both soap puck and cream. Both have great sandlewood scent. I also have tried the Crabtree and Evelynn and I like the soap, but I just can't detect any sandlewood scent. Smells closer to MWF than sandlewood. Clean lanolin type smell and I like it, but not sandlewood. SRD has there own brand of sandlewood soap and the scent is very strong sandlewood, but while soap is not bad, it's not great either IMO. I have not tried proraso red or TOBS, but will put them on my list.
The SRD Sandalwood is a different animal. It is made with essential oil and not fragrance oils. To get the most out of it, you really need to load up your brush. Shake your brush after soaking, then whisk in the soap, touch of water and whisk again for a few seconds. Repeat this several times and then a touch more water and lather away. Big suds with a lot of cushion and glide when you load up the brush correctly.
Have fun.
I always thought the AOS sandalwood smelled great. But there was something in it that made my face light up like a break light in rush hour traffic. I had to stop using it. Since then I've settled on Proraso Red. In fact, today's shave was Proraso Red with Captains Choice Sandalwood aftershave. I've always liked DR Harris so I may give that a try too.
Haven't tried many but the SRD sandalwood is what I have. With my smeller I can't smell a thing but the lather it provides is outstanding. It takes me just a minute with my old brush and not much longer with the new one to create a lather that is smooth and easy on the face. The razor just glides over and through the beard with little effort. The sandalwood and the Sweet Patchouli from SRD so far are my favorite. For me the sandalwood doesn't leave any sent that would mix with the after shave I us or at least that's what the wife says.
AOS Sandalwood has a most intoxicating scent. Good performer generally but seems to dry a bit fast for me.
honeybee Sue sandalwood soap
not too sweet, but good strong woodsy base notes
lingers nicely after the shave
My favorite is Proraso Red! Very relaxing and masculine scent it has.
I have used both the TOBS and DR Harris Sandlewood creams, TOBS is a very nice scent but I find it to be a variation on the real thing, DR Harris on the other hand is a very nice scent, paired with the aftershave splash it is possibly one of my favorite combinations, as a side note, the DR Harris is definitely a step above in scent, but the performance of the cream does not really justify the price in my mind, I ended up pairing the TOBS cream with the DR Harris aftershave and have been quite content with it, cheers!
+1 on the CF Indian Sandalwood shaving cream. WRT a sandalwood shaving soap, I'm a big fan of QED's Sandalwood (although, sadly, it seems to no longer be in-stock).
I'd also like to mention the discontinued Floris Sandalwood EDT -- if you can find even a half-full bottle or a smaller decant, buy it.
The only sandalwood soap that I have tried is Haslinger Sandelholz.
Very nice. Mildly scented. Lathers well.

I like RazoRock Sandalwood for Sensitive Skin. Light, but very nice scent.
