palm lather all your soaps you will feel the difference in slickness ( as long as you have at least 2 diff soaps)
You'll find many different terms used to describe the attributes of shaving products. Usually when I read or hear "slick" or slickness the word is used for marketing purposes.
I take "slickness" and "glide" to mean the same thing. That is how easily a lather allows the blade to move along on your face during a shave.

Is this a case of bad slickness, or is it something else? Could it have to do with my facewash that I use prior to shaving, that it maybe dries out the skin too much? (I have just switched the facewash to a new brand, in an effort to a either eliminate this as a potential cause, or to pinpoint it.)
The problem is somewhat alleviated when using a pre-shave oil, but not by much. I've been using Cella exclusively since November, and feel the lather is rich and creamy. But maybe I'm just not good enough at determining when the lather is ready?
Could it be you have just a bit too little water in the lather mix?

Just this morning I noted that just a slight angle change made quite a difference in how easily the blade moved down my face. I guess there is just a lot to learn still.
