MDC seems to work great for everybody; including me.

I rank it just below MdC! I have the coffret and love it! Highly recommended.

    Gentlemen,

I opened up the Third Tier category rather than dismiss it, because I felt it would help our members more.

Don't know where it shakes out in all this but I think it is a very good soap. Bought the 250gr block not the coffret version. Was after the soap not another container. I know, no fun at all.

I used this for several shaves and it burned my skin so badly that I looked like a bloody lobster. Some nasty stuff, this, even though it has some fans. Several days after I got rid of it, a friend telephoned me from Chicago and complained about the same problem with this soap. He said he looked like a lobster, too. Also, he said the lid did not fit properly on the fancy dish.

Saponificio Varesino 70th is great if you like Aqua Di Gio, If you got stunk out of the bar in your 20s by this smell, I would understand. I know of people who hate lavender, and fougere , So that rules out MdC. SV with the After Shave I got a great face feel.

Cold River Soap Works IMO is a second tier soap. If they can figure out their scents a bit then they may even get in the first tier for me.

Maybe it just brought out the real you. Maybe you're really the hideous sun demon.

I have the stuff in the fancy dish and the dish fits fine. It's a handmade piece by the way and signed. I've found Boelis to be pretty mild stuff. It's not first tier, rather second.

Wow that is a heck of a reaction to it. I have not experienced that nor have I heard complaints of that nature from 2 other forum members I know use the soap. As always there is no telling how a soap will react with someone's skin till they use it. The cost of the soap is not any indicator either if you will have a reaction to it. Probably why getting samples are a good idea.
