    Gentlemen,
I passed on my Oleo Soapworks Irving Park to a friend and he loves the soap: fragrance, performance, everything. Good stuff.

What's the opinion on Grooming Dept soaps?

Oloe is on my "next purchase" list, but I'm always looking.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Jer

I just received my first order of Grooming Dept soap today, Chypre Conifère - Donkey Milk Vegetal and Magnolia Vegan Soap.

I used the Chypre Conifère this morning. This was another Wow moment for me. The scent is complex and absolutely amazing (not good at breaking out each scent component (Scent Notes from GD: Air, Citrus, Labdanum, Ambergris, Sweet Birch, Pine, Spruce, Pine Needle, Balsam Fir, Fir Needle, Woody Notes)) and performance is top notch!! It hits all of the marks. The lather is not fluffy like MDC or CF, more yogurt like similar to Wholy Kaw (which also really impresses me). With no post shave product used, my face felt fantastic all day! Wow!

I will definitely be stocking up on more GD products!

It is a superb soap. Scents will be very subjective, though.

    Gentlemen,

I have shipped the OneBlade lavender shave cream from the First Tier to the Second. This is a fine cream — lather, cushion, fragrance, aftershave face feel — but the two components I find mediocre are the glide and the residual slickness. I've used the cream frequently since buying my OneBlade razor and liked it. Recently, though, I have noticed its shortcoming especially in the residual slickness. Still, it is a quality cream.
