I love how it is filled to the brim. Been using lime castle Forbes, glad I have another soap I can rotate between again

Also they were nice enough to send over some lavender soap which was nice!

Yes. They always send some samples along. Its a nice touch. That jar of MDC will last a as long as 4+ tubs of CF.

    Zingari Man: The Wanderer

    Gentlemen,

I had heard of of the shave soap Zingari Man, and particularly in The Wanderer fragrance, and read many positive reviews on it. In general, artisan soaps and creams that I have tried do not impress me. Many lather well, and some fragrances are pleasant and properly balanced by not throwing one off the balcony, but beyond that they fail. Also, many share a particular base fragrance that tires fast.

Zingari Man The Wanderer scent is described as “Barbershop.” Unfortunately, I don’t smell anything “Barbershop,” a scent that is actually open to many interpretations. To me, the true “Barbershop” is Pinaud Clubman. I remember it from my youth, and today the fragrance is about the same.

What I do smell in The Wanderer is a mild and clean soapy fragrance. Nothing overwhelming here. I find it quite pleasant in the tub. When lathering, the fragrance is mild and still pleasant. Nothing overwhelming here, as well. Bergamot, citrus, oak-moss, basil and patchouli make up the fragrance blend. For me, this is a pleasing blending of ingredients.

The lather in this soft soap has a smooth texture and goes on easily. The soap does require sufficient water, however, which makes creating lather an enjoyable exercise.

The performance is what impresses me most in its cushion and glide. The glide turns the skin into s seamless surface, and the cushion protects admirably. There is plenty of residual slickness, and the aftershave face feel Is sweet and irritation free.

Will I feel the same about this artisan soap in a few months? I don’t know. I have drifted away from many others after a short time. Perhaps I will not from this one.

In the meantime, Zinagri Man The Wanderer goes in the First Tier of soaps.

    Gentlemen,
We have received a number of requests to make this thread a sticky. I think it’s a good idea, as long as the thread does not go into a coma. Thanks all for the suggestion. Time permitting, in the next few days I’ll do some editing to the thread to make it less crowded.

Yes, it is going to be a chore. I’ll have to do it a bit at a time.

    Gentlemen,

I will edit this thread as time permits. As you have notice, the thread is now a sticky. I have proceeded to list soaps and creams separately within each tier to make the thread easier to read. Tier One is already done. Perhaps later today I can finish the rest.

If you come across a soap or cream that you like, you are more than welcome to post it in the thread. Please keep your thoughts short and to the point. Long diatribes will tire the reader. Hemingway said that if the word does not belong in the sentence, throw it out. Also, please watch your spelling and punctuation, and certainly avoid the texting style of the English language.

I trust you don’t mind my being a stickler on the use of the English language. It is a beautiful language, and I’m sure we all like to keep it so.

Thanks all. As always, may good fortune swim in your lane.
