As for the top tier straight razors, I am humbled. Thank you. There are gentlemen here far more qualified than I to undertake that task. Even so, it will be a difficult to come up with a concrete list, because there are thousands of brands from various times in straight razor history. Not only that, but opinions are strong on the subject of straight razors, so you're bound to see people constantly locking horns.
We do have a list on SRP of razors to avoid. That will be of some help. The best way for newbies to learn about straight razors, the good and the bad, is to keep reading and asking questions. Also, beware of lofty praise for certain razors that many of the pros consider inferior.
And now back on track to the tiers of quality in soaps and creams . . .
