I like my 7 soap concoction the best so far.
A mix of hard and soft soaps, that are tallow and glycerin based.
Builds lather fast!!
Is thick and creamy, with great cushion and glide, and moisturizers.
Nope. Im away from home right at the moment, but willing to share. At least most are the cheaper soaps. I did this , because of a single soap i tried (sentless) had a oder of old crisco grease (stale smell).
But it performed well.
So I removed some from the tub, added other soaps to it. Now it works eaven better, and has a pleasant smell that goes with any aftershave . of course YMMV.
I have not thought of mixing soaps up, I have a big latte mug with soaps, I did not care for too much, layered to be used for test lathers and breaking in of brushes.
I mixed them well and test lathered in hand, I got a very fast slick and pretty creamy lather. Shave test to follow tonight.
Ok here's my recipe, though not exactly, just as close as I can come up to for measurements.
2 Tbs Seifenglatt Bordeaux
2Tbs VDH Luxury
1/2 puck Williams mug
1Tsp SRD Lime
1Tsp SRD West Indies Bay
2-3 tsp Cella
1 tsp Green Mountain, Spiced Rum
Place all in desired bowl.
Heat at 15sec. Intervals, stirring each time till melted. Times may need adjusted during process depending on microwave wattage.
Level off in bowl and let cool to room temp or refrigerate to set.
Later is my prefered method.
