I'm looking to give these soaps a go. Are they all about the same? Wool fat hard to later? What are the sents like? Is there a preference?
Thanks

In the past I've used 3 or 4 of their scents. It's not a bad soap and the scents are fresh and clean kind of a natural type product. it's not a first tier soap probably low second tier kind of like MWF. It's Glycerine based as I recall but I may be wrong on that.
Only have 1 Haslinger, the Honig/Honey version, and it works well for me and lathers easily. You can see the ingredients listed here Honey Shaving Soap 204 - Shavemac .

I've had no issues with Haslinger and consider it a good soap. If I remember correctly I didn't care for the seaweed version but that was only because of the scent.
Packaging same but they do tallow and vege based. Not all versions are done in both, I assumed they were all vege based and ended up with tallow. Not tried yet because tallow doesn't suit me.
Looking at the first 2 ingredient in the link I posted, they appear to be veggie based and the 3rd potassium tallowate could be from animal fat but not always. Hard to really say what is tallow based and what is veggie based these days. Me, I just try the soap and see if it lathers easily and the lather is slick enough for me. Generally but not always I have found tallow based soaps to be slicker.

What about scents? Seaweed? Honey? Sage sounds interesting.
Interesting bob. I thought tallowate was always tallow. Thanks for that info. Definitely trying them soon to see if they are or not.
