Just got a few 1oz pucks of some TGC soaps.
I don't really want to melt them, but they don't fit the extra small ziplock containers.
Anyone got any ideas for what to put them in?

I stack my pucks of soap up in the back corner of my linen closet by the folded towels. The fragrance of the different soaps mix nicely with the towels. Due to my shaving soap addiction I have 3 stacks of soap consisting of Williams (which I like) and handmade soaps from ebay. There is a lady on ebay who is always selling great selling handmade soaps. No soap shortage here!

I'm looking to put them in a suitable container to shave with.
I like when the soap fits the container nice and snug, so that any water sits on top of the soap, instead of around it.
BTW- which ebay vendor are you referring to? Honeybee Sue?
I keep mine in the little ziplock containers until I use one and then switch it over to a tapered coffee mug (small base, wide mouth) for the shave. Works wonderfully, both of the mugs I have like that are pefect for small soaps. When I'm done, it goes back into the ziplock/glad container.

Before I found Colleen I got a few soap cakes from "Great Lakes Soapworks" Very good to deal with. But have only tried 2 of the 4 cakes I got from them. 2 of them smell to much like dial and irish spring :p not my fav. Another that is very interesting is their Dragon Blood. Can't discribe it at the moment, but I like it alot. May just re-order a few cakes just cause :)

Not sure why you want to keep you soaps in a pond of water.
i keep the 1 ounce soaps from Colleen in small gladware containers. to use them i soak my brush in a large latte mug of hot water for 5-10 minutes, shake the water out, empty the mug, swirl the brush on top of the soap 6 or 7 times pump it up and down a few times then move the brush to the latte mug, it is now loaded up will soap. put a teaspoon or two of hot water into the mug and work up a great lather... this method gives me enough lather to cover the face four times with leftover. then put the lid on hte bowl with the soap in it and you are all set.
by the way after a use or two the soap puck will pretty much be "glued" in place.

Actually, another trick I want to try is to line one of my scuttle mugs with cling wrap, melt the soap in that and freeze it, or maybe just let it cool (don't wanna damage the mug). Then I can peel it off with the cling wrap and replace the soap in the scuttle. Come to think of it, I probably shouldn't stick any of my mugs in the microwave...I can always use another bowl and pour stuff out. I just want to get a perfect fit for the scuttle.
I think I'll go try that now... :D

It seems that everybody forgot the most basic. Put then in a priortiy mail box, take that down to the post office and mail them to me, problem solved. :D
