I think you'll find that it is a cream and not a soap puck, so whatever way you lather cream would work. I usually scoop out a large pea-sized amount and bowl lather. Others dip the brush tips in the cream but I prefer not to add any water to creams.Quote:

I swirl my brush on the crop three light circles and have more than enough to lather anyway I want. Its a stiff cream. Not really as soft as some creams but not hard like soap pucks in any way. Just go light on it and after the third time of using it you will know what it takes to load your brush.
I generally take a small amount of the cream and make a very light coating on my face, then face lather. However, if it's a very cold day, I'll us my scuttle. I do like a lot of soap, and use a two pea-sized amount.
Been using CF for a few days now with a boar brush. I swirl the damp boar brush very lightly around the cream. I do 4 passes so use load more soap than average. I then face lather. As others have said you do not need a lot of CF to produce good amounts of lather.

I agree. Takes about three shaves to find the sweet spot.
Just received Castle Forbes Sedarwood Sandalwood. Haven’t used it yet but assume it performs like the other scents. It just smells like Cedar to me. I wish I’d ordered either Lime one 1445. I like Lavender.
I tried sandalwood in another brand. Reminded me of cedar too. I guess it is popular though since it is a common scent.Quote:
