    Default Castle Forbes

I’ve had a tough time bowl lathering Castle Forbes. Then I tried face lathering. Worked like a charm

I almost always face lather all my creams, not just Castle Forbes. I just don't care to swirl a brush around a cup or scuttle. I usually rub a thin layer of cream on my cheeks, similar to when using a stick, then slowly add small amounts of water until I achieve a well hydrated lather. Works for me every time.

    +1

If you are going to swirl a brush around it might as well be on your face for some benefit. Added bonus is there is lathering bowl/scuttle to clean and store afterwards. OTH nothing wrong with bowl lathering if that is your preference, it's just not mine.

    Gentlemen,

I load my brush directly from the tub of Castle Forbes, start the lather in my Schwarzweisskeramik and face lather. Another reason I do a few swirls in the scuttle at the beginning is to warm the brush and the virgin lather before face lathering my Hollywoodness. The same goes for all soaps and creams. I prefer warm brush and lather to cold.

Could you please define Hollywoodness? What is your Hollywoodness rating? Who do I apply to for a Hollywoodness rating?

    Diboll, my friend,
That's when I look in the mirror, after a sweet and comfortable shave, when for a short time all the world is framed in an angel's proclamation, and say to myself, "George Clooney, eat your heart out." That's Hollywoodness.

It's a little different at my place.

I try not to look in the mirror since I live in a haunted house. When I look in the mirror I see a white haired old man that seems to always be there.

Common problem, I don't recognize the old fart that lives in my mirror either.

Ah, but then Castle Forbes is the magical potion that changes the frog into a prince. All you need is a good brush and a fine razor.
