My Rotation
I've survived 4 months at SRS thanks in no small part to input from you guys. My soap/creme rotation consists of Castle Forbes "Sandlewood"; Cold River Works,Glide "Morning Ghost",Wholy Kaw "King of Ud" DR Harris; Wholly Kaw "Leather"; Oleo "Irving Park"; CastleForbes "Lilac", Wholly Kaw, ;"Fougere".
I want to stretch a little. Should I go deeper into Oleo and Cold River. I really like them bothThats my inclination. loved to hear any thoughts

I don't see any soaps/creams from the less expensive end of things. As you are 4 months into SR shaving and your shaving/lathering technique should be good, why not try 1 or 2 from lower end of the price spectrum to see how bad or good they are in comparison to what you have been using?

alschepis,
You have wide range of quality soaps and creams that are relatively inexpensive. Try the following:
For starters, try Provence Sante Verlaine, Institute Karite, La Toja stick soap, Lea soap or cream, Taylor of Old Bond Street cream range, Cyril Salter cream range, Lavanda and Hasslinger.
-
There are a lot of very old brands from Europe, some of them Obie mentioned some of them. Here are a few more Musgo Real, Volobra, Speick.
You can get some very nice very inexpensive soaps. Italian Barber website has a lot.

I highly recommend ordering a bunch of samples from ShaveDash. This way you can try a wide range of soaps and creams without breaking the bank, making it easier to decide what you like and dislike. Also, you won't be stuck with a tub of soap that you'll never use again, so it's much less wasteful. Have fun!

You gotta get you some Barrister & Mann Seville. Also, your tag says your in Arizona and it looks like you have nothing with menthol in your arsenal. Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite is a good lathering tallow. Nothing like a mentholated mid afternoon shave on a summer day when it is 114 degrees out (I used to live in West Texas).
