Czech & Speake is made by Valobra, who also made vintage AOS soaps. I think C&S/vintage AOS/Valobra soaps are about as good as you can get. C&S is a hard soap, and will last a long time. O&C is a mixed French/English lavender, while No. 88 is a rose and incense scent. All of the above soaps have been in my rotation for a number of years.
C&S is one of 4 in my rotation. The other 40 or so soaps are used as a preshave
I've used C&S over the years. It's a good soap for sure.
Like the other fellas have shared, C&S is a good soap and last a long time. The scents aren't run-of-the-mill (I like both) and are regularly in my rotation.
Thanks you all very much for the information. You told me exactly what I need to know!!!
Been looking at C&S for a good while and found it hard to justify the price, thanks for heads up fellas, might just have to order some soon.
Gentlemen,
Czech & Speake's Oxford and Cambridge is an old friend. The shave soap excels in every respect, including its earthy clean and soapy fragrance. Several times I have even come close to ordering its fancy soap dish, but held off because of its high price. It doesn't matter what kind of a soap dish or mug you use when lathering with Czech & Speake. Good stuff.
Here's a little eye candy for the troops on Father's Day. I can't think of a better shaving Father's Day gift. Do be aware that the anodized finish on the aluminum dishes are rather fragile.
Cheers, Steve
Yes, that is a looker, Steve. All class.
