Why? I think it’s for shaving not eating

Tried to melt it to form to the inside of my stainless steel bowl like I did with the last few pucks of ToBS. They melted completely, not MWF.
MWF is harder and dryer than most soaps, Slim-Easier just to grate it with the large-hole side of a cheese grater and smush it down in your mug. I did that with my 1st one, and it worked great. I just bought a replacement, and am just swirling right off the puck (after softening with hot water for a few minutes).
I splashed a little water into the bowl while in the heated water/tin/hotbox. It seems to have melted the bottom a bit. The puck doesn't slide around in the bowl now.
I'll try one more time to get my MWF to lather, then I'm switching to trying the shave sticks I just ordered. One La Toja and a three pack of Arko.
I hear all the problems with lathering MWF. Is MWF harder to lather than new Williams ?
You can get a great lather with MWF. It is a lot of work and takes a bit to unlock the srcrets. Keeping it damp and in a Tupperware container seems to help.
I have never gotten a good lather with the new Williams. Others have reported success. Search the threads.
Try using the "dry brush" method from this video on your MWF. MWF takes a long time to load.

La Toja and Arko are much easier to raise a lather with. Arko seems like you just look at it and it lathers.
