    Default Soap Commander

I have had these soaps for well over a year now and wanted to share my thoughts.

Some things to know briefly. After trying many many soaps, including many “top tier” soaps from Obie’s list my favorites have been MWF and Tabac. I am not a huge fan of “artisan” soaps. Soap Commander soaps were a welcomed exception. It has quickly risen to the top and I find myself reaching for it more than even my beloved MWF and tabac.

I find it to be very slick and almost too slick at times where I have a hard time gripping my face/neck. The scents remind me of some axe body sprays. I like them. It is very protective and there is a face feel to this soap that reminds me of putting lotion on. Very soft, soothing and rich. After the shave my face also feels wonderfully hydrated. There is a big gap between not enough water and too much. So it is easy to get a perfect lather. 6-10 swirls and there is enough soap to last 3+ passes. A tub has lasted me over a year and I find myself using it 50% of the time or more. The tubs are shatter resistant and large enough (and deep enough) to load my brush without a mess. The labels are water resistant and I can close it and wash the outside ensuring a clean experience. The price is very reasonable with a discount to veterans, not only on Veterans Day, but every day of the year. The owners are kind, nice people with excellent customer service. I have only tried two scents (Honor and Courage) with Courage being my favorite but both are really nice.

Their hand or bath soaps are also some of the best I’ve tried. At Easter, when nothing else would remove the egg coloring stain from our hands this soap took it off with ease!

After over a year now, I am impressed with this company, it’s products and their customer service.

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Nice review. I haven't used Soap Commander soaps for a few years. I used to love some of the scents, but found their performance just average in terms of slickness and after shave face feel. Perhaps their formulation has changed since then, and I'll have to give them another try.
