New Cremo Shave Cream

I went to Target today to pick up some stuff and as I was walking by the ladies shave corner I spotted something I have never seen before. It was Cremo Shave Cream "French Lavender". I went to the mens shave corner and they did have Cremo Shave Cream in two different flavors but not the French Lavender. So, if any of you who care for Lavender wants to try some, look in the ladies shave corner!

Thanks for the heads up. I really have to try that stuff one day! I have a friend who uses it to make “superlathers” with his soaps, and swears by it. But every review I’ve read on the forums rates it low... one day I’m just going to have to try it for myself.

I have thought about using Cremo while traveling and using a safety razor only. This way I wouldn't have to bother with a strop, straight razor, mug, brush and shaving soap.

And it’s so cheap, you can forget it at the hotel lol!

I don’t travel with my straights anymore. I have my travel DE and some brushless creams.

I note that Muhle has some cute sample packets (cream and aftershave) that would work great for travel as well depending if you want to go real light.

The boss found some in the women's cosmetics section of a local drug store years ago. IIRC I bought the lavender and found it great in making super lathers when combined with other traditional soaps/creams. I have not used it on it's own brushless style but suspect it may do the trick employed that way as it is pretty slick.

When I travel, I take along a tube of Cremo and a synthetic brush. I use a coffee cup from the hotel room as my shave bowl to whip up a lather. Cremo does not come anywhere close to the performance of a quality shave soap, but it is better than canned shave foams and gels.

If you have a shave soap that does not lather well in your water, adding a small amount of Cremo, or Kiss My Face, will certainly help. Modern, high quality shave soaps are normally designed to work with all water conditions and should not need the booster.
