It works just fine but I've since gone to other creams. Any time I switch brands there's always an adjustment period.
I have never tried Neutrogena shave soap. Based on the limited response to your post, I doubt many have. Based on the list of ingredients, I would not be inclined to try it. There are lots of better alternatives available, even at the lower end of the price range.
Ingredients: Water, Palmitic Acid, Triethanolamine, Methyl Gluceth-20, Isoceteth-20, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone PEG-8 Benzoate, Linoleamidopropyl Dimethylamine Dimer Dilinoleate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylene Glycol, Bisabolol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract.
There are so many choices now. I find the number of them to be almost annoying. In many ways its good. Its a sign of a healthy economy for the products. But there's also a lot of redundancy. Too much of the same stuff packaged differently, smelling different, and a lot of mediocrity. The good news is that there is something for everybody. The bad news is that it takes a lot of testing to find what works for you.
There is a "lot of mediocrity" but with artisan soapmakers competing vigorously for elite status, there are a number of truly outstanding soaps in the marketplace. Many of the best soaps in my den are forumlas released in the past two years.
I have not found a lot of superb creams, but many of the newer artisan soaps are quite soft. They could be called croaps.
