A kilo is 35 oz of soap. It's very good soap. But will last a long time.
It's a good soap, I had a kilo and have not bought any more since, it just lasts too long and there's so many other soaps to try. like having the same wife for years, oh wait................
However it is available in 150g tubs.
Outstanding soap. I also bought the 1K block. It's gonna take a long time before I finish it. It's what I pretty much use daily. I regard it as one of better soaps out there, and currently my favorite to use.
It is a good soap, makes a nice lather, but not a fan of the smell.
Buy a small tub and test it.
If you want to cut to the chase, buy a jar of Martin de Candre (MDC), yea, it’s pricy, but a jar will last at least a year. You can’t beat the lather and a very nice sent. I like the original lavender.
Now there is a life-time soap, I have 4 or 5 jars in my soap cabinet.

Is there any other companies that sell in such large quantity? I have a couple id love to buy in that size!
Only the DEA gets to use the term ‘kilo’ in the good ol’ US of A. For the rest of us, use of the metric system is strictly off limits.
It's a quality soap but nothing to write home about. The are a multitude of better soaps out there. The big block lasts forever. I finally threw mine out I had it so long.
Decent soap but I did not like the scent.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.
I bought a kilo and used up what I didn't share. It took a while!
You could throw 3/4 of it away and it would still be an economic purchase.
I used it for a couple of years & couldn't complain about it but my skin eventually got sensitive to it so don't use it any more.
Both Valobra and Vitos are available in 1 kg (2.2 lbs for our friends in the US :p ) packaging sizes.
Valobra in that size is hard to find, but it does exist, and is in my opinion superior to Cella.
While I never had any issues with Cella in this respect - and my last, slowly diminishing 1 kg block is several years old - there is also anecdotal evidence that Cella can go bad.
B.
When I started wet shaving the idea of purchasing a kilo of soap was strangely attractive. After getting my lathering skills sorted and using up a puck or two of soap, I realized how ridiculous of a purchase that would be. JMHO
Cella works pretty well for an arrow pulling lube also............
Cella is a reliable and steady product. Nothing fantastic. It’s good for starters, and then as an occasional visit.
I have tried other soaps but want to try cella because i have never tried it... I hear all the different things about it both good and bad and just want to see for myself just like palmolive shave soaps which i have never tried either.
Cella always went rancid on me unless I kept it in the refrigerator. Both Valobra and 3P perform better and don’t go rancid. You can get 1000ml of 3P from Connaught for about $18 ex-VAT.
Yes, Vitos (the red is popular and on Amazon) and 3P (Connaught) come to mind. I’ve had Cella in the red tub and have part of a brick. If I don’t keep it in the fridge it will go rancid pretty quickly. I think 3p is better and it doesn’t go rancid.
If you want a chunk of unspoiled Cella, let me know.
at some point i will find a seller who doesnt run out just when i go to order it....
I have used cella off and on for the past few years. I LOVE the scent and it is my daughters favorite scent also. Sometimes we pull it down just to smell it. That just goes to show how subjective scents can be.
As far as practical use, it performs really well and is a staple soap. Slick, full lather, that doesn’t dry out my face or break the bank. I haven’t found anything to dislike about it but a lot of this stuff is so subjective that I think it is wise to buy a small tub to try it out first hand.
