Soap Scents
Wondering what some of your favorite vintage or iconic brand soap scents are?...
They dont need to be century old brands either.. I am not sure when Arko or Palmolive came out but they are old enough for sure.. Lets say the last 20-25 years are too new... On that note let me know of sime new scents that you think highly of and 50yrs from now will be still a staple shave soap..
For myself I absolutely love Mitchell's WF.. And newer ones that i think might stand the test of time are Castle Forbes 1445 and their Lavender.. My sleeper in this category is Dr Jon's Anne Bonney.. Love that smell.. Thanks.. Scott

Tabac and LaToja are staples. A new soap that I really like is the Proraso wood and spice.

I would add MdC but their scents are so faint to me I don't think they belong in this thread.

Hey Dave... Nothing wrong with putting MdC in here.. I personally dont have any problem picking up the smell of it and i have heard a few people say the same about MWF.... Thanks

Many of the scents that I never seem to tire of are classic English scents: D.R. Harris Arlington, Windsor, and Sandalwood; Penhaligon's English Fern, Endymion, and Sartorial; Floris No. 89; Czech & Speak No. 88 and Oxford & Cambridge; I Coloniali Mango Oil Shave Cream; Truefitt & Hill 1805, and Apsley.
I also like the colonia scent of Acqua Di Parma and Alvarez Gomez Cream, and Castle Forbes 1445, Lime, and Lavender.
I am somewhat into frags, and enjoy some of the Murphy & McNeil soaps as they have clones of some of my favorite Creed scents, including Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Aventus, and Viking.
