You can almost bet that any shave soap/cream that says you can use a brush or your fingers will not build a traditional lather with a brush. Not a big deal if you don't want to use a brush though. Never had a problem with taking a tube of shave cream or a traditional shave stick along in my carryon either.

I haven't tried it yet so I was just posting what it says on the container. Just thought others might want to know. Also if I remember correctly it was like $ 7.49.
I travel with a Tabac shave stick that works well with or without raising a lather using a brush. I prefer face lathering, but have shaved fine after rubbing the stick on my wet face and discovering I had left my brush at home. It was a different experience, but it did work.
Yea, it works and so does Cremo, probably better as it is intended to work without a brush. It would be a last resort for me if I did not have a brush. I just hate when a product is meant to lather without a brush and they say you can use a brush. I tried using a brush years ago with Cremo and it was just a mess. I have tried others since that with the same messy result.
Cremo does work great when you combine with another shave soap/cream for an uber lather as it adds a great deal of slickness.

Found it via Google---Don't need it, but for those that do, $8.99 from them...

I like the idea of using it with a traditional soap to add slickness.
Yes, Cremo says you can use either your hand or brush to raise a lather with the shave stick.

They also have "one" shave cream and it is not in a tube made specifically for use with a shave brush.

All the other shave creams in a tube say to massage the cream into your skin with no mention of using a brush.

Never had a good result with any of the shave cream products that I tried that said it would work either way. That makes me a doubting Thomas about the cremo shave stick.
