I've been "away" and just returned soapless and stupid. I bought some great some, and some crappy soap. I can't remember who I bought what from. The good stuff was suggested here, I think.
Has anyone used soap from someone named Colleen?

Colleen's soap would be the good stuff. Just about all the regulars here buy from her. I just placed an order with her today in fact. Savon de Campagne is my personal all time favorite.
savon de comte...
her soaps are great...i have about 30 pucks
I have nine pucks, I think. Ordering from Colleen was great, and the soaps work and smell real nice too. By the way, her username here is churley.
You can also contact her via e-mail: thegentlemensquarter at verizon dot net at least until she gets the website up and running.
Does anybody know what the desert iron wood smells like? As a Marine, I have to get the leatherneck soap... Unless it smells horrible. Has anybody used that one?
Leatherneck smells great. It's my new favourite even though Cavendish Black comes close. Desert Ironwood is pretty good but clearly not as good as the other two. A better option would be Bay Rum+Orange.
Colleen's soap's are great, I just wished I had ordered more when I did a while back.

i got lime margerita and provence lavender mmmmmmm smells good enough to eat!!
Colleen is great to deal with and her products are top notch. One additional thing - the soaps fit perfectly into one of those Anchor Hocking bowls (with snap on cover) you can find at Wally World for something like $6 for a pack of 4 of 'em.

...pretty much the best stuff out there, although that is a matter of opinion. The arguments can get lengthy about whose soap is better and why. Start with the top two handmade soaps, Mama Bear's and TGQ (Colleen's). She will also respond to thegentlemensquarter@gmail.com
